When I first started working near Circular Quay, this used to be a regular hangout of mine. The coffee here is actually pretty good (especially when compared with the array of cafes using generic coffee). It is certainly popular enough as anyone waiting in the morning rush can attest to.
While there certainly is nothing wrong with his place, being so close to Mecca CQ means that when I am down this end of town I tend to skip over Blend. I suggest you give both a try and work out what suits you best.

The Eggs benidict was awesome, the best one ive had from anywhere in Australia the capers and lemon worked well and the hollandaise sauce was spectacular to be made from scratch. If my wife let me i would of licked the plates.

I go to this one every day since it's across the road from my work. But it's an average cafe and has got a lot worse these days with new managers who seem to give waitresses a day to prove themselves then on to the next one. They even fired my favourite waitress Helena (Elena?), an Italian backpacker who had just spent about eight months in Queensland. And they did this half an hour before we were going to meet for coffee, so we never met and I lost touch with her. So if anyone ever runs into a tall Italian backpacker with long blond hair who likes mountains and with plans to travel in Asia, let me know! adrianreid99 "at" gmail "dot" com
